“That was a tough race. There was a lot of standing water and Gabriele (Tarquini) was aquaplaning so I nearly followed him off the track. In those conditions you have to hope you can hang on. Jörg (Müller) was always in my mirror and if the race had been one lap longer he would have won.”
Jörg MÜLLER
“I was shocked at the start of lap three as Rydell braked very late and crashed into my door. I thought my car would look like a banana but it was ok. I was aquaplaning but couldn’t see the water as I was in Andy’s (Priaulx) mist.”

“The weekend started well and we had a good set-up. Then the rain came and mixed up the cars. As Andy (Priaulx) will know from Race 1, when you lead you are the first one to approach puddles where you can aquaplane. I had to focus and I am happy BMW has achieved two 1-2 results to make anything possible. ”

“It has been a positive weekend for me after closing the gap from Gabriele (Tarquini) to two points but it has been bad for Gabriele and for SEAT in the Manufacturers’ Championship. We knew we would struggle in the dry and thought we had a better chance in the wet so we were surprised we were not so good. Macau will be interesting!”
Tom CORONEL
“We were playing videos of rain dances on our laptops and it worked. It’s good to score points and not lose my lead although I still think the Independent title will be decided in Macau where there are double points.”
Stefano D’ASTE
“I got a very good start and pushed in the opening laps to get a good advantage over everyone else. Winning the title would be very, very, very difficult because we have lost some opportunities this year. Yes, things will be difficult unless Tom (Coronel) and Félix (Porteiro) miss their flights to Macau!”
