At the wheel of his Liqui Moly Team Engstler BMW 320i, the Russian driver set the second fastest lap in the qualifying session, one tenth behind Philip Geipel’s Toyota Corolla. However, Romanov managed to take a better start in the first race and led from lights to flag, winning by a comfortable 12-second margin from Geipel and Jens-Guido Weimann’s Mercedes C200.
During the second race, a collision with a slower car forced Romanov out with three laps to go, leaving an easy win in Geipel's hands.
