DRIVERS HAVE CLOTHING PROBLEMS

Nicola Larini and Sergio Hernández have been demoted to the back of the grid for today’s Race 1 for not wearing proper racing clothes. The Italian, who had qualified 12th in his Chevrolet Lacetti, was also fined by euro 2,000 because the homologation of his underwear and shoes had expired.

Proteam Motorsport's young Spaniard, who had set the 13th fastest qualifying time and was on pole for the Independents' class, was also given a euro 1,500 fine for not wearing socks.

Another euro 2,000 fine was imposed to Yvan Muller because his balaclava was no longer homologated. However in the Frenchman's case, the back-of-the-grid penalty has been suspended until the end of the season.
