Chevrolet’s Alain Menu has claimed his fourth podium result on his fourth appearance at the Buenos Aires 200 Km race, eighth round of the Argentine TC2000 championship.
The Swiss drivers finished the race in third position at the wheel of a Chevrolet Astra car he shared with former TC2000 champion Cristian Ledesma. Competition was very close; after one hour and 24 minutes José Maria López and Anthony Reid crossed the line first in their Honda Civic with a 2.1second margin ahead of the sister car of Juan Manuel Silva-Leonel Ugalde, while Menu-Ledesma finished a further nine tenths adrift.
Menu's WTCC team-mate Robert Huff was classified sixth, together with Marcelo Bugliotti. This result enabled Ledesma to climb to third position in the TC2000 Drivers' championship.
