The fight for the Yokohama Trophy title has recently turned in Norbert MIcheisz’s favour. The Hungarian drivers has won three out of the four last races, while Pepe Oriola scored only three points over the same rounds.

Last week in Sonoma, Michelisz completed a hat trick at the wheel of his Zengö Motorsport BMW 320 TC, pocketing 23 points, the maximum at stake: two victories, pole position and two fastest laps. Something that nobody else had achieved so far in the season, and that enabled him to stretch his leading margin to 25 points.
With 89 points yet to be awarded in the final three events of the season (race wins in Macau will grant double score), Oriola and his Tuenti Racing Team SEAT León are still in contention. However Michelisz has now the advantage to play a defensive game.
The fight for the third place is also interesting, as Stefano D’Aste is chased by Alex MacDowall and Franz Engstler, who are lying 6 and 17 points behind respectively.
