05 October 2012 07:21 YVAN MULLER IN THE WRC RALLYE DE FRANCE

During this weekend Yvan Muller is taking part in the Rallye de France Alsace, 11th round of the 2012 FIA World Rally Championship.

The reigning WTCC champion is at the wheel of a MINI John Cooper Works car run by the Prodrive WRC Team.
“My ambitions are based on the pleasure to race in France, in my native region and to finish the rally. I hope of getting used again to rally driving, increasing my pace step-by-step, aiming for some good performance and – why not? – possiblly claiming a good result in the end!” said Muller.
Dave Wilcock from Prodrive declared that Muller should be aiming for a top 10 finish. “He puts a lot of pressure on me! Top 10? I would have to be lucky as those guys in front have a lot of experience. I need to work more on the notes, but for that you need to race more. I have competed in eight rallies in ten years, which is less than what they do in a year. I would be happy to finish in the top 20…” commented Muller, who classified 26th in Thursday’s
    Special Stage 1.
