A few days after the WTCC races at Sonoma, German driver Franz Engstler went to San Diego for testing a 750 bhp car that has been prepared for the Baja 1000.

The BMW-powered Trophy Truck will take part in the Mexican rally raid from 14 to 17 November, run by the All German Motorsports team supported by Liqui Moly and driven by former World Rally Champion ace Armin Schwarz.
“I don’t ever imagine how it is possible to drive through the desert at such high speed. I was incredibly impressed by the huge power and by the suspension. Nothing and nobody can stop this monster! It was a very strange feeling comparing the suspension’s travel of the truck’s chassis with that of the BMW 320 TC. When I drive the WTCC car, a kerb is enough to bring the suspension to the limit,” Engstler commented.
