28 October 2012 09:19 EIGHT BROADCASTERS TO COVER WTCC IN CHINA

The WTCC will benefit from extended domestic television coverage in China for the last two events of 2012.

With the series’ second visit to Mainland China at the Shanghai International Circuit and the participation of several drivers from the region, including Darryl O’Young and Charles Ng, extensive domestic television coverage promises to bring the WTCC to a major new audience and further boost the brand awareness and interest level in China.
Eight free to air television broadcasters in Mainland China will broadcast the Shanghai event: Guangdong TV and the CSPN Network (that includes Shandong TV, Hubei TV, Xinjiang TV and Jiangxi TV) will broadcast both races live at 14:45 and 16:00 local time respectively.
In addition CCTV 5, the national state broadcaster, will show highlights of the event within its “Auto times” magazine on the week after the event, and TVB in Honk Kong and TDM in Macau will broadcast a dedicated half-hour magazine on the same week.
Pan-regional broadcasters such as Eurosport and ESPN Star Sports will show the races in the Asia Pacific region in addition to the 87 broadcasters reaching 176 countries around the world.
