Darryl O’Young and Paulien Zwart have both claimed brilliant podium results, last weekend in the Dubai 24-hour race.
The driver from Hong Kong finished third overall, sharing an Aston Martin Vantage GT3 with Frank Yu, Tomonobu Fujii, Darren Turner and Stefan Mücke. The car, run by Craft Racing AMR, completed 594 laps after recovering from 22nd position where it had been dropped by a technical problem.
Tom Coronel’s wife won the A3T class at the wheel of a BMW 320D run by the Racing Divas Team Schubert. Zwart was part of an all-Dutch female crew, together with Sheila Verschuur, Gaby Uljee, Liesette Braams and Sandra van der Sloot, who raised funds for ALS Nederland, a foundation that supports medical researches on the Amytrophic Lateral Sclerosis.
