All thanks to Honda, says WTCC’s Michigami

Ryo Michigami has thanked Honda for giving him the chance to tackle a full FIA World Touring Car Championship season.

Although Michigami lacked experience and struggled for form on occasion, he excelled during the later races and became the first Japanese to score a WTCC podium when he placed third in Macau.

“I’ve learnt an awful lot this season and I want to thank Honda for giving me the opportunity to race in a world championship for the first time,” said the works Honda racer.

Michigami rounded out his campaign with P10 in the Main Race in Qatar on Friday night to place P14 in the final standings.
