Like father like son: Panis followed father Olivier – winner of the 1996 Monaco Grand Prix – into motor racing.
To the F4: The younger Panis began his career in French F4 in 2011 before progressing to the Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 series the following year.
Rising up: After a stint with the Caterham Racing Academy in 2013 Panis joined the ART Junior Team and scored his first Formula Renault wins in 2014. He won twice in Formula V8 3.5 in 2016 and finished fifth in the points.
Electric dreams: Having twice finished runner-up in the Électrique Class of the Andros Trophy, it was a case of third time lucky for the French youngster when he claimed the category title at the end of the 2017/18 season.
Did you know? Panis became Budapest-based Zengő Motorsport’s first non-Hungarian signing in 2017. Sadly, it would prove an unhappy alliance for Panis, who left the team – and the FIA World Touring Car Championship – midway through the year before going on to win on his third TCR International Series start in Thailand.
