Records up for grabs in upcoming WTCR season

A number of lap records will be under threat during the upcoming FIA World Touring Car Cup season. With the TCR regulations still in their relative infancy, lap times continued to fall in 2017 and more of the same is expected in 2018 when WTCR breaks cover as the category’s top division.

TCR cars have yet to race at Circuit Moulay El Hassan and Circuito Termas de Río Hondo, venues of WTCR Race of Morocco and WTCR Race of Argentina respectively.

Belgium’s motorsport federation, the RACB, has identified the inaugural FIA World Touring Car Cup as the ultimate international launch pad for its young star driver, Denis Dupont.
